We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience, a valid vehicle license (Class 6/4 preferable), and a strong commitment to delivering quality service. This role requires a reliable professional with sober habits and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment are in optimal condition.
- Identify and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Customer Service:
- Interact professionally with clients to understand their needs and provide clear explanations of repair work.
- Deliver high-quality service to maintain strong customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Workshop Operations:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Use tools and equipment responsibly and report any issues or shortages.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance tasks are completed on time and to high standards.
- Record Keeping:
- Accurately document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Provide detailed reports to the Workshop Manager as required.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform safety checks on vehicles and equipment before and after repairs.
